SBHC (Student-Based Health Center)

SBHC (Student-Based Health Center)

The Sisters SBHC (School-Based Health Center) is a valued partnership between Sisters School District, Mosaic Community Health, and Deschutes County Health Services. Together, we are committed to improving student health, reducing barriers to care, and ensuring children and families have convenient access to quality healthcare close to school.

Located on the Sisters campus, the SBHC provides affordable, high-quality medical and behavioral health services for children and youth from birth through 18 years of age. Students do not need to attend Sisters School District to receive care, and appointments are available regardless of insurance status or ability to pay. The health center also helps families navigate insurance options, including the OHP (Oregon Health Plan), when needed.

Services available through the SBHC include:

  • Well-child exams and annual checkups
  • Sports physicals
  • Sick visits and treatment for minor illnesses and injuries
  • Immunizations
  • Management of chronic health conditions
  • Mental and behavioral health services
  • Health screenings and referrals
  • Assistance with OHP (Oregon Health Plan) enrollment and other healthcare resources
