Public Complaint Form
Public Complaint Form
Sisters School District is committed to fostering open communication and resolving concerns in a fair, respectful, and timely manner. We encourage students, families, staff, and community members to share questions, suggestions, concerns, or complaints so they can be addressed as close to their origin as possible. Most concerns can be resolved through direct communication with the staff member or administrator most closely involved. When additional review is needed, the district follows a structured complaint process to ensure each concern is considered thoughtfully and consistently.
Public Complaint Process
The district's complaint procedure generally follows these steps:
- Informal Resolution: When appropriate, begin by discussing the concern directly with the staff member most closely involved.
- Formal Complaint: If the concern cannot be resolved informally, submit a written complaint to the appropriate supervisor or building principal.
- Superintendent Review: If you are not satisfied with the response, you may submit a written appeal to the Superintendent.
- School Board Review: If the concern remains unresolved, a final appeal may be submitted to the Sisters School Board for consideration in accordance with district procedures.
Please note that certain types of complaints, including those involving discrimination, harassment, Title IX, special education, Section 504, bullying, and other matters governed by state or federal law, follow separate complaint procedures established by district policy and applicable law.
Use the Public Complaint Form to submit a formal complaint, suggestion, or commendation to the district.
