School Resource Deputy

The SRD (School Resource Deputy) plays an important role in helping Sisters School District maintain safe, welcoming, and supportive schools. Working in partnership with students, staff, families, and local law enforcement, the SRD serves as a trusted mentor, educator, and safety resource while helping foster positive relationships throughout our schools. While safety is always a priority, the role extends far beyond enforcement by building connections, supporting prevention efforts, and helping students navigate challenges in a positive and respectful manner.

The School Resource Deputy works closely with school administrators, counselors, and staff to promote a safe learning environment, provide safety education, assist with emergency preparedness, and respond when law enforcement support is needed. By being a visible and approachable presence on campus, the SRD helps strengthen communication, build trust, and reinforce the shared responsibility of creating schools where every student feels safe, respected, and valued.
