Incoming Transfer
Families who reside outside Sisters School District may request an Inter-District Transfer to attend Sisters Schools. Thanks to cooperative agreements with many neighboring school districts, transfers are typically straightforward to process. Sisters School District does not maintain a transfer waitlist at this time.
To begin the process:
- Contact your resident school district to request an Inter-District Transfer Request Form.
- Complete and submit the form to your resident district for approval.
- Once approved, your resident district will forward the request to Sisters School District for review.
- You will be notified once both districts have approved the transfer.
Please note: Approved Inter-District Transfers are valid only for a student's current school level (elementary, middle, or high school). A new transfer request must be submitted when transitioning to the next school level.
Outgoing Transfer
Families who reside within the Sisters School District and wish to enroll their student in a neighboring public school district must complete an Inter-District Transfer Request Form.
To begin the process:
- Download the 2026–2027 SSD Inter-District Transfer Request Form.
- Complete and submit the form as instructed.
- Once approved by Sisters School District, the request will be forwarded to your selected school district for review.
- You will be notified once both districts have approved the transfer.
Please note: Approved Inter-District Transfers are valid only for a student's current school level (elementary, middle, or high school). A new transfer request must be submitted when transitioning to the next school level.
Important: Students wishing to enroll in an online school should not complete an Inter-District Transfer Request Form. Instead, please contact the District Office for further information.
