FAN (Family Access Network)
Sometimes students need support beyond the classroom to fully succeed in school. Sisters School District is proud to partner with the FAN (Family Access Network), a long-standing partnership that has been serving Sisters families for decades. Together, we are committed to helping remove barriers to learning by connecting students and families with the resources they need to thrive.
FAN is a nonprofit organization that works alongside schools throughout Central Oregon to provide free, confidential support for students and families experiencing challenges. Sisters School District is fortunate to have dedicated FAN Advocates located at the District Office who work directly with families to identify needs, coordinate services, and connect them with valuable community resources.
FAN Advocates assist families with a wide range of needs, including food assistance, clothing, school supplies, housing support, healthcare and mental health services, transportation, utility assistance, and referrals to local organizations. Every family's situation is unique, and FAN provides compassionate, individualized support while treating every family with dignity, respect, and confidentiality.
Beyond connecting families with immediate resources, FAN helps build lasting relationships between schools, families, and the community. By working closely with district staff, local nonprofits, healthcare providers, businesses, and service organizations, FAN creates a strong network of support that helps students stay engaged in school and gives families the confidence that they are not facing life's challenges alone.
The Sisters School District and Family Access Network partnership reflects our shared belief that when families are supported, students are better prepared to learn, grow, and succeed. We are incredibly grateful for this enduring partnership and the positive impact it continues to have on our students, families, and community.
