RAMP (Recognized ASCA Model Program)

The RAMP (Recognized ASCA Model Program) designation is one of the highest honors a school counseling program can receive. Awarded by ASCA (American School Counselor Association), RAMP recognizes schools that have successfully implemented a comprehensive, data-driven counseling program that supports the academic achievement, social-emotional development, and college and career readiness of every student.

Unlike many awards that recognize individual counselors, RAMP recognizes an entire school counseling program. Schools must demonstrate that their counseling services are intentionally planned, aligned with the nationally recognized ASCA National Model, delivered to all students, and continuously evaluated using measurable student outcome data. The application process is rigorous, requiring schools to provide extensive evidence that their counseling program positively impacts student success. Schools that earn RAMP maintain the designation for five years before undergoing another comprehensive review.
