Grants, Funding & Accountability

At Sisters School District, we believe strong schools are built on more than great teaching. They also require responsible planning, thoughtful investments, and transparent accountability. Every dollar we receive is an opportunity to strengthen learning, expand opportunities, and ensure students have the resources they need to succeed. We are committed to using local, state, and federal funding wisely while keeping our community informed about how those investments support students.

Many of the reports and documents on this page are required by the Oregon Department of Education and provide transparency into how our district plans, funds, and evaluates educational programs. While they may contain technical language and detailed financial information, each reflects our commitment to thoughtful decision-making and continuous improvement.

Oregon's Integrated Guidance Application combines several state programs into a single planning process, allowing school districts to align priorities, community engagement, budgeting, and student outcomes through one comprehensive plan. Rather than treating programs independently, this integrated approach helps us coordinate resources to better support academic achievement, student well-being, career readiness, and equitable opportunities for every learner.

The Student Investment Account is one component of Oregon's Student Success Act and provides funding to support well-rounded educational opportunities, student health and safety, expanded learning opportunities, and academic achievement. Our Student Investment Account Agreement outlines how these funds are invested to meet the unique needs of Sisters students and reflects extensive input from students, families, staff, and our community.

Each year, Oregon school districts also complete a Division 22 Report, documenting compliance with the state's educational standards. This report demonstrates how Sisters School District meets the requirements established by the State Board of Education while maintaining high-quality learning opportunities for every student.

In addition to state funding, Sisters School District participates in several federal education programs. Title I provides additional resources to help ensure every student has access to high-quality instruction and the support needed to succeed academically. Title III funding supports English Learners as they develop English language proficiency while achieving high academic standards. Together, these programs help ensure every student has access to the opportunities and support needed to reach their full potential.

They reflect our commitment to thoughtful stewardship, continuous improvement, and transparency with the community we serve.
