Sisters Middle School is a place where every student is known, every voice is valued, and every day is an opportunity to learn, grow, and belong. We believe that middle school is much more than a place to prepare for high school; it is a time when young people begin to discover who they are, what they value, and the impact they can have on the world around them. Our commitment is to create an environment where students feel safe, supported, challenged, and inspired to become their very best.

What truly sets Sisters Middle School apart is our unwavering focus on relationships. We know that students learn best when they feel connected to their teachers, peers, and school community. Every day, our dedicated staff works to build meaningful relationships with students, celebrating their strengths while helping them navigate the challenges of adolescence. We partner closely with families because we know that when schools and families work together, students flourish both academically and personally.

Our welcoming culture is reflected in the experiences of our students. According to the annual YouthTruth student survey, Sisters Middle School ranks in the 97th percentile among Oregon middle schools for Belonging and Peer Collaboration, the 86th percentile for Relationships, and the 84th percentile for School Culture. These results demonstrate what visitors immediately notice when they walk through our doors, a school where students and staff care for one another, staff genuinely invest in each other's success, and everyone is expected to contribute to a positive and inclusive community.

While strong relationships are the foundation of our work, we are equally committed to academic excellence. Our engaging classrooms challenge students to think critically, collaborate, solve problems, and embrace new opportunities for learning. Through engaging lessons, extensive elective choices, extracurricular opportunities, and a focus on social-emotional growth, we prepare students not only for success in high school but for success in life. At Sisters Middle School, we are proud to be a community where students develop confidence, resilience, compassion, and the skills they need to make a positive difference in the future.

The Student Experience

Middle school is a time to explore new interests, discover hidden talents, and become more involved in school life. From engaging academic programs and creative projects to clubs, leadership opportunities, performing arts, outdoor experiences, and school traditions, students are encouraged to step outside their comfort zones, make meaningful connections, and find what inspires them. Explore the opportunities below and see how every student can create their own Outlaw experience.

Activities marked with an (*) represent opportunities where students collaborate across schools, taking advantage of our unique shared campus and the strong connections that unite the Outlaw community.
