Our approach to state testing reflects both transparency and a commitment to what truly matters, meaningful student growth. While our reported state testing participation rates may appear lower than some districts, this is largely due to state law allowing families to opt students out of standardized testing. It’s important to note that each student who opts out is still counted in overall performance calculations, which can lower reported school scores. Despite this, we remain confident in the strength of our students’ academic performance. We believe strongly in data-driven instruction, which is why we rely on tools like i-Ready, an assessment system that provides deeper, more actionable insights over time. This allows our educators to tailor instruction to each student’s needs, ensuring consistent growth, targeted support, and long-term success beyond a single test snapshot.
